I’ve been a glasses wearer for around four years now. I was working in an office, staring at a computer screen for 8+ hours a day. During this time, I kept getting headaches. So, I went along for an eye test, thinking it would be nothing. It turned out that I needed glasses. I only really need to wear them when I am reading or looking at screens but I still want a pair that look good and are stylish. Over the last four years I have had plenty of different pairs of both expensive and cheap glasses.
A couple of weeks ago, I was getting headaches again so I decided to go for an eye test. The headaches were down to my prescription changing and I needed new glasses. We all know that glasses can be very expensive. I paid £155 for my last two pairs. I didn’t want to have to pay that again this time around! Although the glasses that I had tried on in the high street opticians were really nice, you can get cheap glasses online. My friend suggested I try Glasses Direct.
Glasses Direct
Glasses Direct are an online only glasses retailer. They have a great range of designer brands, plus their own brands available to buy. Their prices start at two pairs for £19. This is such a bargain compared to your usual high street opticians. If you are worried about choosing glasses online, then you don’t need to worry with Glasses Direct. You can use their online try on system to virtually try on a pair of glasses like I did. I went through a few different styles before I settled on a final pair. There is also a Home Trial service where you can choose four different frames and try them on at home. Once you have chosen the frames that you want, you just send all four back. They will then send you your chosen pair fitted with your specific prescription.

Buying cheap glasses
The pair of frames that I chose were the Scout Marilyns in the tortoise colourway. I am personally not a fan of black glasses, so I knew that I wanted to go for brown ones. The Marilyns actually come in six different colour ways and I really like the cherry ones too. When it comes to shape, I knew that I wanted something that had a slight cat eye shape. I am not really a fan of extreme cat eye frames, but these are quite subtle. I think that they really suit my face shape and they are not too big for my small face.
When you have chosen your frames, you then choose your lenses. You can get single vision, bifocals or varifocals. If you want your chosen frames as sunglasses, then you can get the darker lenses. Transition lenses are also available. So, you can wear them inside and outside during the summer without having to swap to sunglasses. You can also get blue reflect lenses which are ideal for anyone who is spending a lot of time looking at computer screens.
I was sent these glasses to review by Glasses Direct. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have used this site before for glasses and have never had any problems – yours look great! 🙂
My husband wears glasses so I tell him about the site. It sounds like you need some great deals on it.
I love those glasses! I’ll have to try Glasses Direct as I only have one pair and I’m sure I’ll inevitably break or lose them!
Those are lovely glasses! I will definitely be checking the site out, I paid over £300 for my last pair.
Glasses Direct sound like a great brand. Such a good way to get glasses and so reasonable. I love the ones you picked, they suit you so well.
I’ve ordered glasses from Glasses Direct before and it was surprisingly easy to do. Love your glasses Hayley
You look great with those glasses from Glasses Direct and they are so cheap as well, even more so with the discount code. So glad you got your eye tested and now don’t have any more headaches.
I am due new glasses soon. I wear contacts mainly but I do like to give my eyes a rest every now and then
