The leopard print midi skirt

I’m a big fan of midi skirts, they’re so easy to dress up and down. I was recently gifted this leopard print midi skirt from Select Fashion and I love it.

Select Fashion is one of those shops that I always forget about. The closest one to me is Birmingham city centre. In fact, there’s two there (one in Grand Central and one on New Street), but I don’t often walk past them. I have bought some items from them in the past and I know that they are a great, affordable place to shop. These days, when fashion is changing so quickly, we can’t all afford to buy new clothes all the time.

The animal print trend

Animal print is so big at the moment and it has been for a while. I don’t have many animal print pieces in my wardrobe, but I am a big fan of leopard print. I think that leopard print can go with anything. A lot of people would even go so far as to say that it is a neutral. You can pair it with black, white, red, green – in fact, any colour you can think of. Leopard print is in all of the shops; there’s dresses, trousers, skirts, shoes – you name it and it will have leopard print on.

Styling the leopard print midi skirt

I wanted to try out the trend for myself and picked out this leopard print midi from Select Fashion which costs only £14.99. Midi skirts are also a big trend at the moment and everyone is going to be wearing them in the spring and summer. The great thing about midi skirts is that you can wear them even if the weather isn’t brilliant. I wore this skirt out in Brighton when it was fairly sunny and warm, I just paired it with a thin black jumper and my faux leather jacket.

As we were going to be walking around a lot in Brighton, I put on a pair of simple white pumps. However, I have also got a pair of western style boots that go great with this skirt as well. I believe that you can dress the skirt up with a pair of heeled boots and a plain black cami for a summer party. It is also office appropriate if you wear a plain jumper like I have or a button down shirt. This leopard print midi skirt is so versatile and I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of it.

Select Fashion

I also added a black bag which again, is from Select Fashion. I think that a plain black handbag is an essential. They go with every outfit and this one in particular looks so classy. I managed to fit everything that I needed for the day inside the bag. This includes my camera, purse, portable charger and my reusable water bottle.

What do you think about the animal print trend?

The skirt and bag were gifted to me by Select Fashion in return for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Aww, I can’t believe Select is still going! I used to shop there back in the day when I used to go clubbing! Me and my friends loved snapping up a bargain in there. I really love your skirt too, it would be ideal for my trip to the Caribbean this year.

I love this skirt! I wish I could wear skirts more, but alas, it’s just far too windy and cold in Shetland to do so!
