The end of festival season is fast approaching, but there are still a lot of great festivals left to attend in the UK. If you are lucky enough to be going to a festival soon, them you need to make sure you have got your festival style sorted! Over August bank holiday weekend, there’s the two big festivals – Reading and Leeds which always draws in a stylish crowd. I will be attending All Points East in London which is a day festival – luckily the weather is going to be nice this weekend. Here are a few ideas I have for festival style..

Crochet

Crochet garments are perfect for the summer – there’s so many different styles in the shops at the moment. I particularly love crochet halter neck tops and dresses. Crochet cardigans are also perfect for wearing over a skimpier outfit to keep you warm when the evening comes. I really wish that I could crochet myself so that I could create myself a whole new wardrobe – maybe it will happen next year!

00s Throwback

I’m old enough to remember these trends the first time they came around. Have you noticed that the shops are full of low waisted cargo trousers, crop tops and and tiny handbags? I feel like I’ve stepped back in time and I’m 13 years old again. It’s a bit weird, but for festival season it definitely works. All of those pockets on cargo trousers are perfect for stashing things that you don’t want to carry around with you.

Bucket Hats

Years ago, it used to be the case that bucket hats were only acceptable at festivals, now everybody is wearing them this summer. Personally, I’ve given in to the trend and own a few and I haven’t just been saving them for festivals. They’re a great way to keep your head out of the sun to avoid sunstroke, plus they’re a great fashion statement.

Co ord sets

What better place to wear a co ord set to than a festival? The bolder the better in my opinion! If you’re looking to jump on this trend then turn heads with these co ord sets for women from Rebellious Fashion. They have everything from flare and crop top sets to more glam and slinky options. I’m a big fan of the sets with the flares but also wish I had the confidence to wear something a bit more revealing.

Glitter

The one essential for a festival is GLITTER. Whether you wear a big sparkly jacket, use a glitter hairspray or cover your body in it, you always need a bit of glitter. My favourite way to wear it is as part of my makeup – I love a glitter eyeliner. It’s such a simple way to glam up your outfit.
