Hayley Warren

My name is Hayley Warren, I’m 33 years old and live in South Staffordshire, not too far from Birmingham. I’ve just completed a Masters degree in Human Osteology and Funerary Studies I work as a Marketing Coordinator for a white goods distributor. I love to travel and often get a train or coach to various parts of the country to see my friends. One of my favourite things to do is visit new countries and cities on my own which you can read all about in my travel section. I’m also a big fan of cat cafés and have made it my mission to visit every one in the UK.

Strangeness & Charm

Strangeness & Charm was created when I was in my second year of my Archaeology degree and wanted somewhere I could go to talk about fashion and beauty. Since I wrote my first post, my blog has constantly been evolving. Strangeness & Charm now primarily features travel, food and lifestyle. In the twelve years that my blog has been around, I have achieved so many things that I didn’t even know were possible through blogging. I’ve had some fantastic opportunities and have visited some wonderful places and have made some amazing friends.

I didn’t start my blog as a way to earn money. However, after a few years I started working with various brands and began making a bit of money from it. After being made redundant from a boring office job, I decided to give blogging full time a go. I wanted to see if I could do it and see how it worked for me. Luckily, I have been very successful and was able to continue blogging alongside studying for my Masters. Thanks to my blog, I was able to get myself a job in Digital Marketing once I had finished my Masters degree. Now I am working full time, my blog is back to being my side project but I am still dedicated to creating the best content that I can.
