Novotel Luxembourg Centre

September 13, 2018 in hotel review, travel

I visited Luxembourg back in May and had booked three nights in a hostel. Unfortunately, on the day I was meant to go home, my flight was cancelled. This meant that I had to find somewhere to stay for the night and I ended...

Two nights at Queens Hotel, Leeds

August 1, 2018 in hotel review, travel

When planning a weekend away in the UK, Leeds might not be somewhere you immediately think of. If you fancy a break in a city full of great food and friendly northern people, then it’s worth considering. I recently stayed at the Queens Hotel,...

I visit London a hell of a lot, there’s always so much going on in our capital city from blogger events to gig. It’s so cheap for me to travel there by train, so I find myself there at least once a month at...

Although I live so close to Birmingham, the last train home is at 23:15 which means that when I go to a gig I often have to miss the last couple of songs to ensure I make it back to New Street Station on...

A weekend in Manchester with Mercure

January 21, 2017 in hotel review, travel

Manchester isn’t that far away from me, it only takes me an hour on the train and if I book tickets in advance then I can get a really cheap fare as well, but I almost never visit! The weekend  before Christmas, Rachel invited...

A night at the AC Hotel in Birmingham

January 15, 2017 in birmingham, hotel review, travel

Although I live relatively close to Birmingham and am there all the time, if I go for a night out then I can’t get home. Unless I leave before the last train which is at 23:15, I need somewhere to stay. Which is pretty...

August 6, 2016 in hotel review, travel

While I was in Cologne, I stayed in two different hotels. The first one was the Art ‘Otel. This was organised by Essence as it is where their event took place, so I didn’t know anything about the hotel before we arrived. I wasn’t...

On Saturday I went down to London for a much neede On Saturday I went down to London for a much needed break. My plan was to eat a lot of good food and visit a few museums before heading to the Royal Albert Hall to see my favourite band @garbage with @placeboworld and forget about all my stresses for a day.

However, once I found out about the @togetheralliance march against the far right, I scrapped my plans (apart from the gig, I still went to that) and headed to Park Lane to join my first ever protest.

I think it’s so important to use your voice, fight for what you believe in and do your best to make a difference.

There’s so much shit going on in the world and people need to stop burying their heads in the sand. I’m sick of hearing people saying things like “I don’t do politics” or “what’s the point of voting?” but also moaning about things like the NHS, the cost of living, tax, education, worker’s rights etc. If you want to have a say, you need to get involved, go out and vote in your local elections on May 7th.

Make more noise and make hope normal again.
