The perfect autumn fragrance from Jo Malone

Mimosa and Cardamom

As we are now in September, I’m officially declaring it Autumn. Yes, it’s still above 15 degrees most days. Yes, we’re still apparently waiting for an Indian Summer. No, I don’t care. It’s a month until my birthday, it is officially AUTUMN.I’m just dying to get the autumn wardrobe out. I can’t wait to layer up with cute coats and scarves but as it’s still a bit too warm for that, I’m just switching up my makeup and perfume. I’ve decided that it’s time to get one of my favourite fragrances back out for the season. Jo Malone’s Mimosa and Cardamom.

Mimosa and Cardamom

I’m a big fan of Jo Malone and I own a fair few colognes from her range. I tend to steer towards the more spicy and warmer scents, so it’s no surprise that Mimosa and Cardamom is one of my favourites.

Mists of honeyed, golden mimosa float above the spiciness of freshly crushed cardamom. Creamy tonka and smooth sandalwood woven under powdery heliotrope and Damask rose picked at dawn. Warm, ethereal, mesmerising.

This really is an autumnal fragrance, it’s so warm and inviting. I get a lot of compliments on it when I wear it. It’s even marketed as a unisex fragrance, which is fantastic.

How does it last?

I’ve recently come to the end of my original bottle of Mimosa and Cardamom, so I decided to get another one from Notino. One of the 30ml bottles will last for ages as the cologne is so strong, you really don’t need to apply a lot. I usually apply some to my neck and my wrists first thing in the morning and I can still smell it by the end of the day. A top tip for making your fragrance last even longer is to spray it in your hair. I find that if I do this I can smell it until I next wash my hair!

Although Jo Malone colognes can be a lot pricier than other brands, I think that they are definitely worth the investment. They last a lot longer and they don’t fade away during the day like other perfumes do. I will always be a loyal Jo Malone fan and I can’t wait to try some others from her range. My other favourites include Pomegranate Noir, Vanilla and Anise (which unfortunately has been discontinued) and Velvet Rose and Oud.

Are you a Jo Malone fan? What fragrance do you tend to wear in the autumn?
