Current favourite lip products from Notino

I always used to be obsessed with lipstick. You would never catch me out of the house without some sort of bright shade plastered on my lips. These days, I’m a lot more relaxed when it comes to my makeup and I barely wear any unless it’s a special occasion. Despite this, lipstick is still one of my favourite products and I always make sure that I have a few different ones to hand. If you looked in the makeup bag in my handbag right now, you would find at least six different shades. Why do I need that many in my bag? I have no idea. There’s a few that I have been switching between recently and they’re all available on Notino.

Revolution x Soph in Cake

Sophdoesnails is one of my favourite YouTubers to watch and when I heard that she was doing a second collaboration with Revolution, I was really excited. I already have her first eyeshadow palette and her highlighter palette and I’m hoping to get my hands on the second one ‘Extra Spice’ soon. Something that really excited me with the second collaboration though, was the release of three nude lipsticks. Revolution really know how to do lipsticks, they’re such an amazing, creamy formula and so long lasting on the lips. They’re also really affordable and readily available. I decided to go for the shade ‘Cake‘ which is a pink toned nude and it’s looks great with any makeup look. I love how I can wear this with really basic makeup and also when I’m going a bit more glam. The packaging is super cute as well, which is a bonus.

Clarins Instant Light Perfect in Toffee Pink Shimmer

I’ve spoken about these Clarins glosses before. I had been ignoring the hype surrounding them for a couple of years, but I finally gave in a few months ago. I now own three different shades and I am IN LOVE. They are so hydrating on the lips, they’re not at all sticky so you don’t need to worry about your hair sticking to your face and they leave a gorgeous sheer colour. My current favourite is ‘Toffee Pink Shimmer‘, I now want to get the whole shade range and honestly, I think I’m going to end up with all of them before the year is out. Another great thing about these is that they are so easy to apply and reapply. You don’t need to get a mirror out to reapply which is a bonus for me!

L’oreal Paris x Balmain in Power

I don’t own any L’Oreal lip products apart from this lipstick. If I’m honest, I chose it purely for the packaging. I love a special edition product and the Balmain packaging is super fancy. I went for the shade ‘Power‘ as it is a deep red brown with a matte finish. I love darker lips during the autumn and winter, so I thought that this would be perfect. Luckily, it didn’t disappoint and I love the matte finish. The only thing I don’t really like about this lipstick is the scent, but once it’s on your lips, you don’t notice it. I now want to get more of the Balmain collection.

MAC Retro Matte in Flat Out Fabulous

Even though we are getting into autumn, I still like to have a brighter lip colour to hand. MAC are one of my favourite makeup brands and I have nearly 30 of their lipsticks in my collection. They do so many different finishes, but my favourites are Matte and Retro Matte. Both of these formulas last a very long time.. I can even eat and drink without having to reapply them. The shade ‘Flat Out Fabulous‘ is a bright, cool fuchsia which looks amazing on all skin tones. This is my go to when I am going for a more colourful look. I like to pair it with pretty natural eyeshadow and a flick of liquid liner.
