When it comes to styling, I can’t do anything with my hair. I have medium length, thick hair and I usually just straighten it when it’s been washed. I will occasionally put it in a ponytail or have it half up – half down. For years I have wanted to be able to do something different and be able to have wavy hair whenever I wanted. This is where the Babyliss Easy Wave comes in.

The easy way to wave your hair
I have never been able to use curling wands or straighteners to curl or wave my hair. Putting it in French plaits overnight has left me with perfectly wavy hair in the morning, however it soon drops out. I have been looking for a device that I could use to easily wave my hair for a while now. Finally, I have found the perfect device – the Babyliss Easy Wave. It does exactly what it says on the box, it waves your hair and it is so easy to use. I got mine from Notino and as it comes from the Czech Republic, it has a European plug. However, when you order from Notino they send you an adapter so we can use it with our UK sockets. This is such a great idea!

How to use the Babyliss Easy Wave
Like I said, this couldn’t be easier to use. I always start off with straightened hair, just to avoid frizz. I then use a heat defence spray such as the Toni & Guy Prep Protective spray. It’s so important to use something to protect your hair from the heat as heat can be really damaging, especially if you use it regularly.

Once my hair is ready, I’ll start off by taking sections that are about 2 inches wide. I start from the top and clamp the hair in the waver, then hold it down for around 5 seconds. I then move the device down the piece of hair another couple of cm and repeat the process.

It will take me around 15 minutes to do my entire head of hair. Considering I have really thick hair, this isn’t bad at all! I do sometimes separate my hair into top and bottom layers, but I’ve found that I don’t really need to do that.

Styling my wavy hair
Once I have finished waving my whole head of hair, I leave it to cool. I have found that if I mess with it while it is still hot, the waves will drop out. Once it is cool, I then run my fingers through it to separate the sections and to make it all blend in together. I’ll then add a quick spritz of hairspray all over, just to hold the style in place.

How long does it last?
My wavy hairstyle will last all day, which is great. However, once I have slept on it, the waves don’t look so defined. I get a bit of frizz overnight, so I usually just take a bit of hair oil (I have the L’Oreal Paris Elseve Extraordinary Oil) and run it through the lengths. This helps to tame the frizz and add a bit more shine back into my hair.
I’m so excited that I have finally found an easy way to get wavy hair. This styling tool is going to make my life so much easier!

I’m awful when it comes to styling my hair. I usually just stick it in a ‘mum bun’ and forget about it. I’d love to try something different like this! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous.
I used to have something similar to this, defo gonna look into getting one of these! x
I need something like this, I am so rubbish at doing my own hair. I always go to GHD when I want it curled haha xx
