On our second day in Paris we headed out of city centre to spend the day in Disneyland. All four of us had been before (this was my third time) and had already done the rides in our previous visits, so we decided to just enjoy the Disney experience and the characters as much as we could.
As soon as we arrived in the park at around 11am, we saw that Thumper was doing a meet and greet so we just had to get in the queue! We queued for around 40 minutes but it was so worth it to get a hug from one of my favourite Disney characters. During the day, I also met the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of Hearts who was just as mean as you would expect her to be!
We waited around for the Spring train parade which wasn’t very impressive but I was so excited because I got to see Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh! He’s one of my all time favourite characters and it just made my day. There was also a Disneyland cast member who was absolutely hilarious and I got a video of him which you can see below! I hope I see him again when I go in October.
The weather was ridiculous – around 25 degrees and we spent the whole day in the sun, especially when we were waiting around for parades. I was daft and managed to miss out part of my shoulder when I was applying the sun cream, so I ended up with a pretty bad patch of sunburn. We had a look around Disney Village and bought some souvenirs – I had to buy a plushie Thumper after meeting him and a couple more Tsum Tsums along with a Maleficent mug and a Mickey glass.
We then went back over to Main Street USA to secure a decent place for the parade. I missed this last year but I remembered how good it was when I was 10 so I was really looking forward to it. We waited for around an hour but we got the best spot and it was definitely worth the wait. We saw the characters from a lot of my favourite films including The Lion King, Cinderella, Toy Story, Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty. I also got to see Winnie The Pooh again!
We went back over to Disney Village to have something to eat as all we’d had were nutella crepes and ice creams all day! We ended up in the Rainforest Cafe which I didn’t really enjoy. I’d been before when I was 10 and had a bad experience (I banged my head on an elephant in there) so I didn’t have great memories of it but I was willing to give it another chance. I don’t think I’ll be going back again, the service was shoddy and the food wasn’t all that great. They missed parts of my meal out too!
The highlight of the whole day was Disney Dreams which was on at 10pm. I hadn’t seen this before as we’d left early the last couple of times I’d been, but I’d seen clips of it on Youtube. We managed to get a spot right in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and I may have cried a few times during the show. I can’t wait to see it again in October!

I love that Thumper was there, I love it when you see unusual characters in the parks, I REALLY hope we can meet Alice and the white rabbit when we all go to DLP!

I’m so jealous as I read through this – id love to head back to Disney! My sister has just got back too, making it even more important that I get there soon. I’d love to go in the summer too, it was freezing last time we went!
