A few weeks ago, I finally invested in a Fjallraven Kanken. I’d wanted one for a long time and needed to get a decent backpack for my upcoming trip to Paris. It took me a while to decide which colour I wanted but I ended up going for the Sky Blue and I found a discount code for Mankind so I managed to get it for £53 instead of £65 – bargain! Since I got it, I’ve been using it a lot. Backpacks are just so much more comfortable, especially when you carry a lot of crap around like I do!
The main items I always have to have on me, no matter which bag I’m using and where I’m going are:
– Moleskine diary – I feel lost without my diary on me, I write everything I’m doing in it. I can’t commit to anything unless I have my diary on me. Moleskine diaries are my absolute favourite and I get a different colour each year.
– Kindle – I’m a massive bookworm, I’ve always got a book on the go. I read whenever I get the chance and I’ve set myself a target of 50 books this year on Goodreads.
– Umbrella – The weather is so unpredictable at the moment, so I’ve always got this Joules umbrella* on me, I think I’m definitely going to need it in Paris as the forecast says we’re going to be getting some showers.
– Tablets – I keep my tablets/medical things in this little floral pouch from Poppy Valentine*
– Purse – My purse was a Christmas present and I absolutely love it. It took me ages to find a purse that I liked and that I knew would last me a long time and I finally found this Sydney Clutch Wallet from Fossil. There’s enough room in it for all of my thousands of cards and there’s also several different compartments.
– Portable phone charger – When you have an iPhone, it’s vital that you carry around a phone charger if you want your battery to last more than a couple of hours! I got mine from Amazon and I can charge my phone off it around ten times before it needs charging up again. I keep the charger, my iPhone lead, a lead for my kindle and my earphones in this Cath Kidston heart print zip purse.
– Makeup bag – I’ve only recently started carrying a makeup bag around with me and I’m not sure why as I don’t use a lot of the products in it. In fact, I have five lipsticks in there at the moment which is ridiculous. The bag itself is the Retro Kitty makeup bag from Flamingo Gifts and I love it, it’s so roomy and I’ll be using this when I go away.

Hello! What colour is your Kanken? I’m looking to buy the sky blue but I’m not convinced by the stock photos as to how accurate the colour is! Yours seems to be the only customer photo I can find! Thanks x
