Tackling winter dry skin

As I’ve mentioned before, I suffer terribly with dry skin in the winter. It’s not just on my face, it’s all over including my hands and my legs. Due to this, I have tried a lot of different moisturisers and lotions. Recently I have been using a few new products that have really made a difference to my skin.

Face

I’m terrible at remembering to moisturise. I will always take my makeup off, but I am guilty of falling asleep soon after a couple of times a week. Because of this, my face isn’t as well looked after as it could be, so I like to treat myself to a mask or two when I have the time.

Something that I really look forward to is using an under eye mask. This is quite a new part of my skincare routine, I only discovered under eye masks in the last year or so. The KORIKA SciBeauty Eye Contour masks are my current go to. I use these as part of my routine at least once a week – usually on a Sunday when I have a bit of a pamper evening. As I am now in my 30s, I’m very aware of any fine lines that are starting to crop up. These masks help to keep my under eye area moisturised and bright.

When I’m fancying a proper treat, I’ll use the Glamglow ThirstyMud hydrating mask. I use this once a week just for an extra top up of moisture. Glamglow are one of those brands that you hear a lot about and they get a lot of hype. I’m glad to report that they definitely live up to that hype! I will definitely be getting myself the bigger tub when I have used this up. At the moment I just use it on my drier areas which tends to be my t-zone, so I only need a small amount at a time.

Body

This winter, I’ve found that I’ve had a lot of dry skin on my legs. To combat this, I’ve been using the Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume. It’s a really moisturising lotion which sinks in to the skin really quickly. I’ve been using it on my whole body after a shower before getting into bed. I have found that it has been making a huge difference. I no longer have really itchy dry patches, my legs feel soothed and smooth.
