I like to think that I’ve got packing light down to tee now. I’ve been on so many flights with budget airlines with only hand luggage, so I’m a bit of an expert. In a couple of weeks, I’ll be flying to Portugal and I’m only able to take a personal bag on board and have no checked luggage. This means that all of my liquids need to be less than 100ml and fit in the small clear bags.

Skincare

With my skincare, I want to take quite a few different products. I’m away for 7 nights and I don’t want to disrupt my skincare routine. My plan is to take all of my usual products, but to decant them into travel pots. I can put my usual moisturiser into a small pot and my toner can go into a spray bottle.

As the weather in Portugal is going to be quite good, I need to take SPF. I’ve recently got a new facial SPF from Skin79 which contains SPF50 and is the perfect consistency. It sinks into the skin straight away, meaning I can put makeup on top and don’t have to worry about pilling. This is a 50ml bottle, which means I can take it in my hand luggage. I won’t be decanting any of this as I’ll need to reapply it during the day, so I’ll need quite a lot. Skin79 are one of my favourite Korean skincare brands.

Makeup

I used to find it quite hard to condense my makeup down, but now I don’t really wear much, it’s a lot easier. The main products I use are concealer, powder, mascara and something for my brows. I’ll be taking two different types of concealers with me to Portugal. The first one is a really high coverage Liquid Camouflage Concealer by Catrice. This can be used to conceal any blemishes I may have. Then I will take the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind which is great for concealing dark under eyes. I won’t need to take any kind of foundation when I’m using these two and it will be too warm anyway.

If I use a setting spray, then my makeup should stay put all day. My favourite is the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. This is only 30ml, so perfect for hand luggage and it’s something I will always repurchase. If you want to make sure your makeup stays in place, especially in a hot country then this setting spray is the one for you. I bought it when I went to Florida and it ensured that my makeup stayed looking perfect all day. Even in 30 degree heat and when I was going on water rides!
