As the weather is getting cooler, I’ve found that my skincare routine has switched up a bit. I’ve now started using a heavier moisturiser at night and I’ve changed my daily moisturiser too. My haircare routine has had a new addition too. There’s nothing better than the change of season when you can start getting cosy in big jumpers and sitting indoors with a good book. I’ve also found a new favourite candle to burn when I’m having these cosy evenings.

Moisturiser
When it comes to moisturiser, I like to make sure that I use one that is suited for my dry skin. I have always loved anything with hyaluronic acid in, it makes such a difference to my face. Recently, I’ve been using the Embryolisse Lait Créme Concentrè every morning. Not only does it leave my skin feeling hydrated all day, it’s a great base for makeup. I find that it sinks in really quickly, so I’m not waiting around for ages to continue with the rest of my routine. It has no scent, which is great if you have sensitive skin. I just love how soft my face feels after using this for the last couple of weeks!
Conditioner
I don’t always use a conditioner for my hair. My usual routine involves a solid shampoo bar and that’s it. I don’t want to fade the hair colour that I pay for! However, as it’s getting colder I know that my hair will start to suffer with the wind and the chill, so I wanted to introduce a conditioner to my routine. I absolutely love the solid shampoo bars that I’ve been using. They’re great for the environment and I’ve found that they last so much longer than a normal bottle. So, with that in mind, I picked up a Foamie solid conditioner. This is in the scent Hibiskiss and is designed for dry and damaged hair. As I have bleached my hair, I thought that this would be ideal.
Solid conditioners are just as easy to use as the solid shampoos. After I have rinsed the shampoo out of my hair, I just rub the conditioner bar over the ends of my hair. I leave it for a few minutes before I rinse that out too. Since I have been using this, my hair has felt a lot softer. I would definitely recommend trying out a solid bar if you haven’t already!
Candle
I’m a self-confessed candle collector, it’s kind of getting out of hand. My favourite brand of candles is of course, Bath and Body Works. I usually go for their three wick candles, however this month I tried out one of their smaller ones. I chose the scent Vanilla & Patchouli which is the most gorgeous, warming, autumnal scent. It smells amazing and now I think I’m going to have to get a couple of back ups for when this one is empty!

Great picks sweetie!
