Since Revolution’s Conceal & Define concealer came out last year, I have been a big fan. I have gone through so many tubes of this wonder product and at only £4 a pop, I never hesitate to repurchase it. As I loved the concealer so much, I decided to try out the other Revolution base products. Revolution is such an affordable makeup brand, so I’ve been working my way through their range. I have come up with the perfect combination for my base makeup.
Revolution base products
In all of the years that I’ve been buying makeup, I have tried so many different products. From high end to the drugstore, I think I have almost tried them all. Yes, it is sometimes worth shelling out for the more expensive foundations. Estée Lauder’s Double Wear is one of my favourites and probably always will be. However, you can get similar products for a fraction of the price.
Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation
This is one of Revolution’s newest releases. The foundation that goes with the infamous concealer. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews when it came out, but I decided to take the chance and get it anyway. For reference, I have normal to dry skin. I have drier areas around my nose and on my forehead usually. This is where foundation tends to start flaking off after a few hours. With Revolution’s Conceal & Define foundation, I don’t have this problem at all. I can apply the foundation in the morning and it looks just as good hours later.
The coverage is medium but is definitely buildable. While my skin is looking pretty good, I am just adding a couple of swipes to each cheek and my forehead and blending in with a sponge. If I needed more coverage, then I would definitely add another layer.
The colour range is also really good for a drugstore foundation. They currently have 50 different shades ranging from a white (F0) to the darker end of the spectrum. I went for F2 which matches me perfectly.

Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer
I have raved about this concealer many times before. It gives great coverage without being too heavy and lasts all day too. I have always bought the original size which has 4ml of product. They have recently launched the Conceal & Define Supersize Concealer though which has a whopping 13g of product. I do find myself going through these concealers pretty quickly, but with the supersize ones I don’t have to worry about running out too often.
Again, the shade range is fantastic. My shade is F0.5 which I use under my eyes to brighten them up a bit, or F1 which I use on blemishes.
Revolution Bake & Blot powder
Another new addition to the range is the Revolution Bake & Blot powders. These are a pressed version of their popular loose powders, with brand new shades. I have previously used the Baking Powder in the shade Lace, which I love. However, it’s not that transportable when you are travelling. I always seem to make a bit of a mess with it too. So, I much prefer a pressed powder. When Revolution brought out these pressed versions, I knew I had to get one to add to my collection of Revolution base products.
So far, I have been loving this powder. I apply it after my foundation and concealer and before my contour/blush. It helps to set my makeup but it also adds a slight bit of coverage as well. I will always make sure that I use a setting spray so that I don’t look too cakey. I’m thinking of picking up the translucent version too. It’s really handy to carry around in my handbag and is such a great price too.

Revolution Quinoa Night Peel
Even if you have great base products, you still need good skincare. I have recently started using the Revolution Quinoa Night Peel. I apply this 2-3 times a week after toning and before my moisturiser. The first time I used it, I was amazed at how soft my skin was when I woke up. I have continued to use it since then and I have noticed that the texture in my forehead is getting better. It used to be quite bumpy but is gradually smoothing out.
I love the packaging of these skincare products. They remind me of apothecary bottles and they’re so easy to apply. I definitely want to try more from the Revolution Skincare range now.

Foundation can be so expensive! I try to use a tinted moisturiser on days that I feel I need to even out skin tone but the Revolution products sound like a good affordable option.
These products are such a great price. I’ve used their blusher before and found it great. I could do with some bake and blot powders for when I go to the US next
