Although autumn is my favourite season of the year, I do find that my skin starts suffering as it gets colder. I typically have very dry skin anyway, so I have to keep it moisturised and well looked after. When the days start getting colder, I find that I have a few products that I love using.

Hand cream

Out of everything, my hands suffer the worst with the change in weather. I have dry hands anyway, but in the colder months they can get really sore and chapped if I don’t look after them properly. Last year it was a lot worse with the amount of hand sanitising we’ve all been doing. With this in mind, I always make sure that I carry a hand cream around with me. At the moment I have this lovely floral scented hand cream from L’Occitane. It’s a really luxurious hand cream, which leaves my hands feeling soft and moisturised. Dry shampoo

As the weather starts turning, I start wearing hats more often. I am a big fan of beanies, berets and big woolly hats with pom poms at the end. I find that wearing a hat all day can make my hair go greasier quicker than normal, I’m not sure why but it can be quite annoying. Having to wash your hair too often can be bad for it, so I choose to use a dry shampoo instead. I’ve recently discovered that Revolution have a hair care range and I picked up their dry shampoo to try out. The Revolution Haircare Dry Shampoo contains caffeine which gives your hair a bit of an extra boost. I’ve been loving using this as it doesn’t weigh my hair down, doesn’t have a strong scent and really works.

Face Masks

We all know that I’m a massive fan of a sheet mask and I use autumn as an excuse to stock up on more. I tend to do a sheet mask once a week, but when my skin is feeling particularly dry then I will use up to two a week. There’s nothing better than an evening pamper session when it’s cold and miserable outside. I have a few brands that I love to use and I switch between them all the time.
