While we’re still in lockdown, it’s important to look after yourself. The long winter nights can be horrible, so why not take the time to give yourself a pamper? I usually pick one night a week where I have what I call a ‘proper bath’. This is where I run myself a nice bath with a bath bomb or two, light a candle and really treat myself.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

I usually take my makeup off with a Revolution Skincare cleansing gel, however I recently got the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. As this is quite pricy, I use it as a treat on those ‘proper bath’ days. It contains moringa, grapeseed and sweet almond oils which are all great for your skin. As well as thoroughly removing makeup, this balm ensures that your pores are minimised and your skin is left well moisturised.

The balm is applied straight to a dry face, then you rub it to melt away your makeup. The kit comes with a wash cloth to help you remove the balm and every last trace of your makeup. I really love using this cleanser because it makes my skin feel so clean and moisturised, it also smells amazing. The moringa scent reminds me of being in a spa which is something I have definitely missed in 2020.

The Moringa Cleansing Balm is the first product that I have ever tried from Emma Hardie and I now really want to try more from the brand. They have a great selection of serums, cleansing gels and travel sized kits on Notino.

Luxurious candles

As I already mentioned, when I am having one of my pamper evenings I like to light a nice scented candle. I have a great collection of scented candles but some of my favourites are from DW Home. I don’t think that I have tried one that I don’t like yet. One of my current favourite scents from DW Home is Sweet Pea Pomegranate. It’s not the usual sort of scent for this season, but it is perfect for setting the scene for a pamper evening. The throw of these candles is amazing, the scent can fill the whole of the upstairs of my house and they burn for hours. Churros is a beautiful sweet, cinnamon scent which is great to have burning during the day.

Another one of my favourite scents from the brand is Sandalwood Myrrh which is more of a woody scent which is lovely and relaxing. I also really want to try DW Home Luminous Topaz which sounds like something I would enjoy.
