It doesn’t feel like we’ve had much of a summer really, does it? I know there’s still a couple of weeks left of August but the weather isn’t brilliant at the moment and I’ve not felt warm enough to get out the new sandals that I bought for this summer. I’m really looking forward to autumn as usual, I can’t wait to get out my scarves (I have the biggest collection!) and I really enjoy the darker, autumn colours when it comes to fashion and beauty. My go-to place for bargain beauty bits is of course Notino which I’ve been browsing recently and I’ve found so many different products that I can’t wait to get for the colder months.
In the autumn, I feel like I can finally wear a higher coverage foundation without worrying that it’s going to slide off my face in the heat so I’ve got my eye on the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear and I can also wear a bit more eye makeup once hayfever season is out of the way and my eyes have stopped streaming 24/7. The Guerlain Terracotta Khol eyeliner is something that I’ve been wanting to try for a while, but I’ve not been using eyeliner recently due to all of the pollen in the air that has been making my life difficult.
When it gets colder, it’s important to up your skincare game and make sure your face stays hydrated as the cold weather and central heating can cause your skin to dry out and become dehydrated. I always switch to a more hydrating face cream, like the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream and this year I need to make sure I’m using something good for my eyes such as the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream.
I don’t feel complete unless I’m wearing blusher and I like to go for a slightly darker one in the winter with more of a red undertone. I’ve been wanting to try out one of the Chanel blushers for a while and there’s a great selection of colours that would be perfect for the looks that I would be going for. Of course, no beauty wishlist would be complete without a perfume and I’ve been eyeing up the Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP, mainly for the gorgeous bottle.
As beauty is such a big passion of mine, I would like to learn more about it and find out how I can look after my skin better. I’ve been considering doing a beauticians course which would teach me a lot more about facials, waxing and other beauty treatments and would allow me to make a bit of money from performing treatments on other people. I’ve been looking at the Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Beautician which I’ve found really helpful and is a great resource for anybody who is considering a career as a beautician.
