Valentine’s Gift Guide: Fragrances for her

Valentines fragrances for her from NotinoIt’s that time of year where everything in the shops is pink and red and heart shaped. This can only mean one thing – Valentine’s Day is coming! This will be the sixth Valentine’s Day I’ve spent on my own  (I was in a relationship in 2016, but I went to Germany by myself instead). Even though I’m a single cat lady, I do still like Valentine’s Day (and Galentine’s Day), so I’ve decided to do a gift guide for those of you who are celebrating. Notino have a great range of Valentine’s offers on at the moment. Everything is so affordable and delivery is fast so you’re guaranteed to get your gifts before the 14th. Here’s my pick of fragrances for her.

Fragrances for her

All of these perfumes are ones that I already own and are my favourites. Fragrances can be quite hard to choose for someone else, especially online. Each of these are very different but they’re the ones I get the most compliments on when I wear them.

Givenchy Ange ou Demon – This was one of the very first perfumes that I fell in love with and I’ve almost finished my bottle. It has a very ‘oriental floral’ scent, with notes of vanilla, tonka bean and saffron. It’s more of an evening scent as it is quite heavy, but it’s beautiful. I find that this lasts all day on me.

Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardomom – I’m a big fan of Jo Malone colognes and I own four of them, with many more being on my wishlist. I bought this particular one when I had some Christmas money left over and I was browsing one of the counters. It was love at first sniff! It’s quite a spicy scent, which comes from the freshly crushed cardomom and then you have the sweetness of the mimosa. I never want to be without a bottle of this in my collection, it’s perfect!

Chanel Chance – This was another one of my first perfumes and I felt so grown up when I got my first bottle. Chanel is a very sophisticated brand and a lot of their perfumes area bit too sophisticated for me. Chance however, is perfect. It has notes of patchouli, pineapple and iris which I wouldn’t have thought I would like but it really works on me. This is the sort of fragrance that I’d wear to something important like a job interview.

YSL Black Opium – This is quite a new one in my collection, I’ve only had it for around a year. You may have seen the hype about it on other blogs a couple of years ago, I certainly did. I had to go and try it out for myself and I was surprised that I absolutely loved it as I’m not keen on the original Opium fragrance. Black Opium is mainly floral with notes of black coffee and vanilla. This is another one that is great for an evening, but I tend to wear it during the day too.

Lolita Lempicka – This is one of my all time favourite perfumes. It’s such an unusual scent with notes of vanilla, violet and licorice. It’s very sweet and powdery, which is not what I would usually go for, but I adore it. I find that the scent lasts all day on my skin (and for even longer on my clothes or in my hair). I love the apple shaped bottle it’s in too, the perfume sprays out of the stalk! It’s not available in many shops, so luckily Notino stocks it.
