Summer pampering

As the weather is finally getting a bit warmer, it’s highly likely that we will be showing more skin. As we approach the summer, I like to give myself a proper pamper day. This is not only great for my body, but also my mind. I think it’s great to give yourself a bit of time out and really treat yourself.

Feet

I’ve recently invested in a pair of sandals that I’m going to be living in while it’s warm. This means that I want to pamper my feet and make sure that they are looking their best. I’m not great at keeping up with my foot care, so I’ve vowed to sort it out this year.

First of all, I’ll be using an exfoliating foot mask. These are amazing for getting rid of any dry skin on your feet. My favourite is the L’biotica exfoliating and moisturising foot mask. You simply put the bags over your feet for 90 minutes and then wash the solution off. After a week your feet start to peel and you shed all of the unwanted dry skin. This is something that I try to do a couple of times a year, it always leaves my feet feeling so smooth afterwards.

Face and body

One of my favourite brands when it comes to pampering is Holika Holika. They are a Korean brand and have the best range of sheet masks that I’ve tried. I try to use a sheet mask at least once a week, but in the summer I use them more often. I find that my skin always feels a bit parched thanks to the sun, so a moisturising sheet mask really makes me feel better. Using a sheet mask twice a week ensures that my skin looks great all summer. I’ve got a great collection at the moment which I’ve been working through.

I also like to use the Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Gel. This is so moisturising and I find that it sinks into the skin so quickly. After a shower, I’ll apply this to my legs and arms and it keeps them moisturised all day. It’s also a great product to use if you accidentally get yourself a bit sunburnt. It doesn’t have a strong scent and feels really cooling and refreshing on the skin. I find that if you put it in the fridge for an hour or so before you use it, it feels amazing after a long day in the sun!
