Bad Apple Hair, Lichfield

You may remember one of my posts from last year all about my hair transformation at Bad Apple in Birmingham. I had my hair bleached at the bottom in a balayage style and had a yellow hair dye applied over the top. Since then, I kept up with the yellow ends until I made a bit of a mistake and ended up dying my whole hair red. I loved my experience at the salon, so when I found out that Bad Apple were opening another salon in my home city of Lichfield, I just had to go in and try it out.

The 6th Bad Apple salon

The new salon is situated in the heart of Lichfield, at 42 Bakers Lane. This is in the main shopping precinct. I can’t remember exactly what it used to be, but I think it was a men’s clothing shop before Bad Apple took over. It’s great to see another salon in the city, especially one that specialises in creative colouring. I popped in at the start of February to get a much needed trim. I actually hadn’t had my hair cut since last June!

My stylist at the Lichfield salon was Simone, who was lovely. She sat me down and offered me a drink before she asked me what I wanted to have done to my hair. I explained that I just wanted to have a bit of a trim. I’ve been growing my hair since I had a bob cut in in August 2016. I mainly just wanted to get rid of all of the horrible split ends which were a result of bleaching and heat. I also needed to get my fringe tidied up a bit.

First of all, Simone took me over to the basins and gave my hair a shampoo before adding a conditioning treatment. I was also treated to a bit of a head massage which nearly had me falling asleep! I don’t usually do much to my hair when I wash it, apart from the usual shampoo and conditioner so it does get a bit dry and could do with a conditioning treatment every now and then.

The result

I am so pleased with the results of my haircut. Although I didn’t have much off, I left the salon feeling a lot lighter. I think I ended up with just a couple of inches off in the end. The ends of my hair have been cut very blunt to get rid of the split ends. This looks a whole lot better than the straggly mess I had before. I’ve also had some layers cut in as I have so much hair. Sometimes I really struggle when styling my hair as it’s so thick; however Simone blow dried it and gave it a quick straighten for me.

If you’re in the Lichfield area and are looking for a new salon, definitely give Bad Apple a try. They also offer a discount on your first appointment!

Oh your hair looks gorgeous and so healthy too! Even a trim can do wonders for our hair, mine is in need of a good cut and maybe a richer colour!

Your hair colour and style looks superb, I’ve never heard of this salon before but I’ll be sure to check it out as I’m a sucker for having my hair dyed and cut.
