I always like to try out new products and enjoy switching up my routine. This goes for skincare, makeup and general hygiene products. I like to try out anything unusual, so if I see something I’ve not heard of or tried before, then I find myself really intrigued.

Why should you choose rose skincare?

I’ve always been a big fan of anything rose scented or flavoured. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved Turkish Delight and anything that smells vaguely similar. In the past I’ve had a few rose scented candles and I also own a couple of rose scented perfumes, but I’ve not really looked into rose cosmetics.

There are many different benefits to using rose water in your skincare routine, including:

• Helps soothe irritated skin
• Reduces redness
• Contains antioxidants to protect your skin from pollutants

With this in mind, I decided to try out a couple of products containing rose. I added the two products to my skincare routine and have been using them for a few weeks now.

Adding rose skincare to my routine

I have been taking my makeup off with the Revolution Skincare Cleansing Milk Jelly. This starts off as a gel like consistency but turns into more of an oil when you rub it over your face. I apply it to a dry face to remove my makeup before I do a second cleanse. I have found that it gets every last bit off and is also great at removing stubborn eyeliner. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight afterwards like some cleansers would.

I have then been using the Saloos Rose Water. This product is great as a toner. I use one of my reusable cotton pads to and apply it over my face before any serums or moisturisers. Since using this product, I have found that my skin is really smooth and my skintone is more even.

An unusual toothpaste

Personally, I am not a fan of minty flavoured toothpastes. For years I’ve put up with them, and have been secretly hating brushing my teeth. That was until I discovered Marvis toothpastes. They have so many different and unusual flavours. So far, I’ve tried a few different ones including Cinnamon, Black Forest and Jasmine. Recently, I picked up the Marvis Amarelli Licorice toothpaste and I love it! I find that these unusual flavours don’t linger as long as the normal minty ones do. This means that you don’t have to wait so long before eating!
