Recently, I’ve been feeling a bit down about myself and my appearance. So, I’ve been trying to make more of an effort and have been trying some new products out. Over the last couple of weeks I have found some great products that have become part of my routine.

Hair

If my hair doesn’t look good, then that puts a big downer on how I feel about myself. My hair is one of the things that people tend to notice about me first, so I always want to make sure it looks good. One of the main issues that I have with my hair is that it can get dry and frizzy. This is mainly because I have it bleached, so I need to use products that nourish it and keep it sleek. One brand that my hairdresser always uses is Milk Shake. This is a professional hair care brand who do a wide range of products from shampoos and conditioners to styling products. I picked up the Milk Shake 12 in 1 leave in treatment. This needs to be applied when the hair is towel dried and before it’s blow dried. As the name suggests, it has 12 benefits including detangling, smoothing and repairing. I’ve found that if I use this every time I wash my hair, it leaves it silky smooth and frizz free.

Another great product is the Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray. This only needs to be used on the hair once every three washes. So, every three washes, after I’ve towel dried my hair I’ll use this instead of the Milk Shake spray. You have to use quite a lot and make sure you saturate your hair, then use the heat of the hair dryer to activate it. This products leaves your hair smooth and also ensures that it doesn’t get frizzy, even if you get caught in the rain.

Makeup

I’ve always been a fan of Bourjois makeup, they were one of the first brands I tried when I was first getting into makeup. Unfortunately, they disappeared from the UK shelves for a couple of years. They’re finally back and I’ve been getting my fix from Notino. One of the products that I used to love back in the day is the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. I get the shade Rose Vanilla which is the perfect shade for me. One of my favourite things about this foundation is that it doesn’t feel really heavy on the skin, it’s so light that I forget I’m wearing it. However, it does have a great coverage and gives my skin a healthy glow.
