Floral playsuit in Barcelona

I didn’t plan on buying anything before I went to Barcelona. I had plenty of summer clothes from my trip to Florida in October, I certainly didn’t need a floral playsuit. But, when Haydy told me about the Boohoo sale, I just couldn’t resist having a look! I spent a good hour or so browsing the site. I ended up buying three new playsuits for a grand total of £20! They turned out to be the only things I actually wore whilst I was in Barcelona. Luckily, the weather was amazing!

This is the outfit that I wore on our second day, we decided to get a 48 hour ticket for the sightseeing bus so that we could easily visit the Olympic Stadium, Montjuïc and the port. We did a lot of walking, so it was important for me to be comfortable.

The floral playsuit

The playsuit was an absolute bargain at £6 and I was drawn to it because of the gorgeous floral pattern and the long sleeves. I thought that if I had my arms covered that would be a good idea and I’d avoid getting sunburnt. What I didn’t realise, is that a bit of my back was exposed and I actually got the worst sunburn of my life because I’m complete idiot and didn’t apply any sun cream there.I’ve never worn a wrap dress/playsuit before as I wasn’t sure that they would suit me. However, I absolutely loved this as soon as I tried it on. If I was wearing it in the UK, I’d probably put a black vest top on underneath. But as I was abroad and nobody knew me, I really didn’t care that my New Look bralet was on show for most of the day.

The shoes

I chose to wear the espadrilles from Ego that I wrote about back in May. Honestly, I don’t think I could have made a better choice. They were so comfortable and it felt like I was walking on air all day. I usually have a problem with the soles of my feet hurting when I wear certain shoes. The soles of these were thick enough that they didn’t bother my flat feet at all. I will definitely be getting another pair for next summer. I love the way they look and feel. Obviously, when you find a pair of shoes that are this comfy, it makes sense to stock up!
