At the moment I’m all about the glowy look. Makeup is great, but the best place to start is with your skincare. If you have good skin, then your makeup will look a lot better. I have tried so many different makeup products over the years that have given me a glow but since I’ve started focussing on my skincare, my skin has looked so much better. Like makeup, I’ve tried loads of different skincare products. Here are a few that I have tried recently that have made my skin look amazing.

Cleanser

When I wear makeup, I like to do a double cleanse. First of all I’ll take my makeup off with a heavy duty balm cleanser, then I will use a lighter cleanser just to ensure that my face is completely clean. You need to make sure that there’s no traces of makeup or cleanser left on your face before you finish off your skincare. I have recently been trying out the Nuxe Very Rose gentle cleansing oil. I absolutely love Nuxe products, they always feel so luxurious but they’re not too pricey. It has a very subtle rose scent and leaves my face feeling so soft. Sometimes cleansers can leave your skin feeling a bit tight and dry, so I really love this.

Face masks

It’s no secret that I’m a massive fan of face masks. While my skin is quite clear at the moment, I don’t need to use anything too harsh. I have been loving the variety of face masks that are available from Ziaja. You can get individual sachets for less than £1 and I have found that I can get two uses out of each one. My personal favourite is the Goat’s Milk Mask which is designed for dry and wrinkle prone skin. I have really dry skin, so it’s a good idea for me to use something like this a couple of times a week just to keep it hydrated and moisturised.

Another great brand for face masks is Skin 79. They have a great selection of sheet masks which are affordable and work amazingly well. I tend to use a sheet mask once a week as a bit of a treat. One of my favourites is the Seoul Girl’s Beauty Secret. This is another great mask for dry skin and also helps to brighten up your complexion.
