July favourites

I’ve tried a few new products this month that I’ve really been loving. I’ve been switching up my routine due to the heat and I’ve also gone back to some old favourites too.

Lips

If you’d told me last year that I’d be wearing lip gloss every day this summer, then I would not have believed you. Lip gloss reminds me of my school days when we’d layer it on in the school toilets at break time and get our hair stuck in it when it was windy. I never would have thought that it would come back in to fashion but a lot of early 2000s trends are also coming back. Sticky lip gloss is really not my thing, so I’ve been using a lip oil from I Heart Revolution. The I Heart Revolution Tasty Peach Tinted Lip Oil is lovely and I’ve been wearing it every day. It’s not at all sticky and it also has the added benefit of being moisturising. Although it is lightly tinted, it doesn’t really alter the colour of my lips. It also has a great scent, without being too overpowering.

Fake Tan

Another new product that I’ve tried out this month is the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold self tanning mousse. I have been trying to keep up withe the fake tanning while it has been warmer. I’ve tried so many different brands over the years but I’d never tried Bondi Sands until recently. This particular tanning mousse is quick drying which is great when I apply it before bed. This one is streak free which is fantastic when I have been having my legs out so much. I have found that the tan fades evenly too. Another plus is that it doesn’t have that horrible biscuity smell that many other fake tanners have.

Cleanser

When it comes to removing my makeup and cleansing my face at the end of the day, I’ve been turning to an old favourite. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion. It’s a product that has been raved about for years but I only tried it for the first time a few months ago. The smell alone is enough for me to repurchase it – it has such a gorgeous floral scent. I absolutely love how it makes my face feel too – so smooth and clean without being drying.
