By now you should know that I am a huge fan of candles and home fragrance. Over lockdown I’ve even started making my own inspired by my favourite scents. It’s been a long process and is hard to get everything right, so until I’ve mastered the perfect wick I’m still loving my monthly candle deliveries from Notino.

Bath & Bodyworks

Bath & Bodyworks are forever going to be my favourite candle brand. When I was in the USA, I wanted to take every single scent home with me. Unfortunately, I could only fit three small candles in my suitcase with all of the other things I’d been buying. Luckily, I can now get my Bath & Bodyworks fix from Notino and I make sure that I order one candle from them every month. My favourite scent in the range is Warm Vanilla Sugar – it’s such a sweet but relaxing scent. This one is perfect for any time of the year – I also love the other products that they do in this scent.

In the colder months, I love to burn a more autumnal scent such as Gather – this is composed of vanilla, apple, sugar, creamy notes and bourbon. I would say that this is a more sophisticated scent but it is perfect for when you are sat at home, snuggled up on the sofa. I’ve had quite a few autumnal scents from Bath & Body Works – they also have a great range of pumpkin scented candles around Halloween. These always remind me of my trip to the USA as I was there in October and everything was Halloween or pumpkin themed at the time.

I prefer the three wick candles as they burn for ages and have an amazing scent throw whether they’re hot or cold. You can always guarantee that you are going to get your money’s worth from Bath & Body Works!

Paddywax

Another favourite brand for scented candles is Paddywax. Again, they have an amazing range of scents but they also come in many different shapes and sizes. I love Paddywax for the quirky jars and the more sophisticated scents. I’ve had so many different candles from them over the last couple of years and I have been able to reuse the vessels that they come in. A couple of them have become plant pots, I also have new holders for my makeup brushes and small storage pots for my jewellery.

I’ve found that the scents from Paddywax are more sophisticated and ‘grown up’. They’re the sort of scents that I love to put in the living room and they give a more homely vibe. One of the candles that I got this month was Tobacco and Vanilla which is probably one of my favourite scents ever. It’s not too overpowering but it really fills the room and smells amazing.
