I didn’t make any new years resolutions this year, I just decided that the best thing to do was to take better care of myself. This means learning what is best for both my mental and my physical health. I have come up with a new night time routine, where I make sure that I spend time winding down before I go to sleep. I have been trying new products, making sure I wash my face properly, tone and moisturise. When I brush my teeth, I’ve been ensuring that I am using the best products for my needs. I have also been taking my vitamins every night, without fail.

Teeth whitening
Although I spend most of my time behind a mask, I’ve started to become a bit self conscious of my teeth. I drink a lot of coffee (at least two cups a day) and I enjoy a fizzy drink. Unfortunately, this means that my teeth are prone to being discoloured. I have tried many different teeth whitening products over the years which have all worked to some degree. Recently though, I have been trialling the Blanx White Shock Teeth Whitening Kit.
You’re only meant to use this for two weeks at a time, but it has immediate effects. The idea is that you use the toothpaste to brush your teeth every day for two weeks. You can also use the LED light system for ten minutes once a week to give your teeth a bit of a boost. So far, I’m really pleased with how my teeth are looking.

Face cleanser
I’ve recently found that the best way to remove my makeup is to use a cleansing balm. Balms always melt the makeup off and leave my skin feeling clean without also feeling stripped. I have been using the Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3 in 1 melting cleansing balm. This green balm is infused with matcha green tea, bamboo shoot and lotus extract. It melts away makeup making it easy to wipe away. I’ve found that it’s really gentle on my eyes and removes all mascara with zero effort. My face always feels nicely moisturised after I have used the balm, whereas others have left my skin feeling stripped.
Since I have been using this cleansing balm, I haven’t had any break outs which is great considering I’d had some issues with wearing a mask. I have found that it really helps to remove all dirt and impurities leaving my skin ready for toner.
What is your night time routine like? Have you introduced any new products recently?
