You may remember me mentioning the Cath Kidston bag I wanted.. well on Wednesday I checked the website and it was in stock so I ordered it, expecting it to turn up some time this week. I got to Winchester Friday afternoon and my lovely next door neighbour popped round with a parcel for me.. it was my bag!

I’m so pleased with it! Look how lovely it is! It’s a lot roomier than I expected as well, I can fit everything I need in there (and more!) so I can see myself using this a lot. I’ll be taking it away with me this week. I decided to take a photo of everything that’s in my bag:
Clockwise from top left: tablets and stuff, my leather filofax that I had for my 21st off my dad, bright pink pen for writing in the filofax, Cath Kidston purse, bottle of water, iPod touch, Cath Kidston ticket holder, my beloved blackberry, house keys on a Cath Kidston (surprise suprise) keyring, Avon lipstick, vaseline and hairbrush.
It really does fit a lot of stuff in!
I popped into Paperchase on my break today and bought a few Christmas things in the sale. I got a pink reindeer (which I’m going to have up in my room all year round) a small black Christmas tree (I don’t usually like them but this is small and cute) and some pink tinsel. It came to a grand total of £2.50. What a bargain! Here’s a photo:
Also, I don’t know whether I mentioned this in an earlier post but I spent my New Year’s Eve by myself, dying my hair. I used Superdrug’s own dye in ‘Spice Red‘. I’m really pleased with how it came out seeing as the dye only cost me £2.50! Everyone at work has been complimenting me, even a customer said I’ve got ‘the most amazing hair colour’. I’ll definitely be buying it again, especially as it’s on offer at the moment at two for £5 and they do 10% student discount!
It’s made my hair so shiny!

Anyway, I’d better leave this for now. I have to leave for work at 9:15 and then I’m going straight to London from there and I won’t be getting to Essex until after 11pm!

Night!

So far I’m doing well with my blog, I’ve managed to keep it fairly active although I’ve had it for less than a week, let’s see if it stays that way! I won’t be posting much (if at all) between Monday and Friday due to my trip to Essex and London as I mentioned before. I’m amazed that I have 10 followers already! I’ve also stumbled upon a few blogs I like myself and am definitely going to be reading regularly. I think you should all check them out too!
From Aldi To Harrods – this blog has only just started out but is already full of great money saving tips, it’s definitely a great one to follow if you’re trying to rid yourself of a debt or two!
Lick The Bowl Good – this blog is full of yummy recipes, I’ve tried a few of them including these clean oven cookies which were so good they didn’t last very long around my housemate and boyfriend!
Purple Sparkle Crafts – this lady makes some amazing crafts and always has lots of beautiful photographs to look at.
LLYMLRS – you’ve probably already seen this blog if you’re into your fashion. Lily has a great style and I love seeing her outfit posts! I’m so envious of all her great clothes.
The Careless Thoughts of Uncle Montague – another blogger with great style! I love her nail posts.
That’s all for now, hopefully I’ll be coming across a few more great blogs which I can share with you.

Carrying on the music theme from the last post, I thought I’d compile a list of my favourite songs that came out in 2010. I’m not claiming that these are the best songs, just the best in my opinion.
Manic Street Preacher – It’s Not War (Just The End of Love)
The first single from their new album, ‘Postcards From a Young Man’. Quite a different sound from their last album ‘Journal For Plague Lovers’ which was released in 2009, it’s sounds a lot like their 2004 album, ‘Lifeblood’ which I don’t mind either way!
Marina and The Diamonds – Mowgli’s Road
Technically, this song has been around for ages but the album, ‘The Crown Jewels’ was only released in February 2010. I think Marina’s got a great, unique sound and all the songs off the album are equally as fantastic, it was hard to choose just one to be honest.
Arcade Fire – We Used To Wait
I fell in love with this song as soon as I heard it! It’s taken from their third album ‘The Suburbs’ which is the only one I’ve actually listened to in full but I love it. I must make sure I listen to the other two.
Band of Horses – Compliments
Nobody I know has heard of Band of Horses which saddens me, they’re amazing! Their first two albums were brilliant and I saw them live in 2008. I’m seeing them again in a few weeks.. on my own but I know I’ll have a good time as they’re so good live. This is taken from their third album, ‘Infinite Arms’. The video is lovely as well, make sure you watch it!
The National – Conversation 16
I’d seen a lot of people online talking about The National so I thought I’d download one of their albums and see what all the fuss was about. On my first listen, this particular song caught my ear, especially the lyrics ‘I was afraid, I’d eat your brain’. This is taken off their fifth album ‘High Violet’.
Ellie Goulding – Guns and Horses
I first heard this song when I saw her supporting Little Boots in 2009 and I’ve loved her ever since. This is one of my favourites off the album ‘Lights’ which has since been re-released as ‘Bright Lights’ with some extra tracks.

Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce – Telephone
I can’t leave this list without mentioning Lady Gaga! It’s quite possible that everyone has heard all of her songs whether they love her or hate her. ‘Telephone’ is really catchy (in fact, it was actually my ringtone for a while) and the video is fantastic too at just under ten minutes long, it’s definitely worth a watch!
There were a lot more songs that I wanted to include but I’d be here for hours if I did that! I need to get some sleep because I’m working tomorrow and want to get into town in time for a McDonalds breakfast!
What were your favourite songs of 2010?
I’m hoping that 2011 will be another great year for music.
