Just a quick update because I’ve been absent for over a week now! Sorry about that. Things have just been really stressful lately. I started one of my new jobs, I’ve been trying to sort out references so I can start my other new job, I’ve been really down about the house situation and my things going missing, I’ve had work to do and I’ve been ill twice. I had to call in sick today because I think I’ve had a bug.. I’m feeling a bit better now. I’ve got my only lecture this week tomorrow and then after that I’ll be going in to town to buy some stuff for our Royal Wedding party (I’m making scones and a Union Jack cake) and then I have training at work.
Yesterday, I went up to London to be in the audience for Russell Howard’s Good News. It was really really good.. the funniest part was the warm up guy taking the piss out of my friend Russell. I laughed so much that I cried! That will be on tv tomorrow night (Thursday) at 10:30pm on BBC Three so keep an eye out for me. I was five rows from the front.
I went in to London a few hours early as well so I could go for a wander and see some decorations for the Royal Wedding. I went to Buckingham Palace and Regent Street and saw all the flags. It made me feel all patriotic. I very nearly bought a Union Jack top hat.. but I stopped myself just in time!
I promise I’ll be back to blogging properly soon! Hope everyone is okay!

This is what I wore today when I didn’t check what the weather was like before I left the house. I was a bit hot in the tights! I got the bus into town and met up with a friend, we went to Starbucks and then I plucked up the courage to go to the police station to speak to someone about the things that are going missing from my house. They actually took me seriously (I didn’t think they would as it’s all little things that are going missing but it’s all starting to add up now..) and they are going to see if they can investigate and might send someone round to the house. I’m glad I finally went. It’s getting ridiculous now the amount of stuff that’s disappearing. It’s only my stuff as well! After the police station we went to Pets at Home where I got to hold a gorgeous rabbit and guinea pig. I can’t wait until I can get my own guinea pig. I have to wait until I’ve moved into my new house because I can’t trust anything in this house now.

At the moment, I can’t stop listening to Dan Shears & The Velveteen Orkestra which is where the title for this post came from, go and check them out!

I haven’t done any washing for two weeks so out come the Muse tshirts!

– I’m so tired today! I got back to my house at around 1:30am this morning after leaving my other house at 7:30pm last night. I couldn’t sleep until around 4:30am because I’d had too much coffee on the journey!

– I’m having a very boring Saturday night. I’m the only one in my house so I’m pretty lonely. I’m planning on having a nice bath and washing my hair ready for my first day at Millets tomorrow. After work, I’m going back to a friend’s flat with some Primark girls to watch Titanic which will be good. Can you believe that one of them has never seen it?!

– Thursday is pay day AND loan day. I can’t wait! I currently have 8p left of my overdraft, oops. I’m thinking of popping to Southampton for the day. I can’t spend too much money though, my loan has to pay for my rent over the summer too. I already owe my brother £100 – he lent me £60 to pay my rent this month and I’m buying a Michael Mcintyre ticket off him too.

– I bought my first Models Own nail polishes on Thursday so I’ll probably do a post about them soon. The Boots in Winchester doesn’t stock them so I haven’t been able to get any. I bought Fuzzy Peach and Juicy Jules. I’ll probably paint my nails tonight actually.

How’s your weekend going? I hope everyone’s enjoying the nice weather that seems to be everywhere but the South!!
