Here’s a new feature for my little blog. Basically, each week I will pick a shop (online or on the high street) and will find an outfit for £100 or less. At the moment and any extra pennies I get are going straight into my Paris Fund but if someone presented me with £100 as an early birthday present and told me I HAD to spend it at Dorothy Perkins or else, this is what I would buy..

This outfit came to a bargainous £95.50 which leaves just enough change for a Starbucks after a hard day’s shopping.
I chose the denim jacket because I have been looking for one for ages and this one is perfect! It’s just the right shade of blue and has long sleeves. I wasn’t too keen on all the cropped ones I’ve been seeing around.
The cat print dress caught my eye because, well.. it has cats on it of course! If you know me, you’ll know I’m a bit of a crazy cat lady so if something has cats on it, I NEED it! It’s also a lovely summery orange and would also look great in the winter with a pair of black tights and a black cardi over the top.
The cream brogues are a lovely summery shoe and are a welcome change from the usual black and brown brogues. These will go with almost anything, from summer dresses to skinny jeans.
The outfit didn’t need a necklace as the neckline of the dress is quite high and any bracelets would be hidden by the sleeves of the jacket. I picked this wire ring  as I don’t believe that any outfit is complete without a ring!
What do you think of the outfit I’ve chosen?
If you had £100 to spend at Dorothy Perkins, what would you pick?
PS. This is my 100th post! I never thought I’d keep this blog up for a month, let alone still be posting 8 months later and have 100 posts and 188 followers!

A couple of days ago, I received an email from Motel as I’m on the mailing list, with details of their new Colour Kaleidoscope range. The range is aptly named as it is full of bright colours and features the colour blocking trend that is around at the moment. The colours on the email really caught my eye so I had to have a look for myself.
1, 2, 3, 4
I think that all of the pieces I have picked are great for the summer but would also be perfect for brightening up a dull autumn day!
1 and 3 immediately made me think of those well known paintings by artist Piet Mondrian, which is definitely a good thing in my book! At primary school, one of the walls in our assembley hall was inspired by Mondrian so his paintings always bring back good memories, as do this dress and the skirt.
Number 2 reminds me of the American Apparel Two Color Pantyhose which I’ve always loved but I could never justify spending £14 on a pair of tights that I’d probably end up ripping straight away! I love how the skirt of the dress is bodycon, whereas the top part is loose and flowy. It looks more like an oversized vest tucked into a bodycon skirt which is just the sort of thing I would wear on a night out.
I absolutely love the teal colour in number 4, in my opinion, it’s a perfect colour for autumn! I would wear this with some plain black heels for a night out or with a pair of black tights and some black brogues for during the day. At only £32, it’s really affordable for a student budget too!
Also a part of the Colour Kaleidoscope range are these four Models Own nail polishes which all match the featured clothes.
I think I jumped on the Models Own bandwagon a bit too late. I only own three of their polishes (Fuzzy Peach being one of them) but I am in love! The formula is great, they dry pretty quickly compared to other brands and they chip a lot less. I’m desperate to get Top Turquoise but I can’t find it anywhere. I may have to do a cheeky Motel order next time I get paid! These four colours would look great with any of the items I picked above. I can picture some great colour blocking nail art being created from these. In fact, Lily recently posted about some leopard print nails that she did using Top Turquoise and Fuzzy Peach.

I have been buying…I bought my first MAC lipstick, THAT leopard print collared dress for the second time, since someone stole mine back in March.

I have been eating at…home! It’s so good not having to pay for food!
I have visited… I came home for a bit, I went to Birmingham for the Brum Bloggers Meet and I visited a few places near me.
Best Bargain I got a couple of pairs of Topshop earrings for £1.50 each.
I have achieved… I have saved quite a bit of money this month.
I’ve been listening to… Emmy The Great’s new album, Pet Shop Boys, Muse.
I’ve been reading… Nothing interesting.
Next month I’m looking forward to… seeing my boyfriend after 6 weeks apart.
Next month I hope to splash some cash on… I’m saving!
