When I first started this blog over six years ago, I used to do a lot of Outfit Posts which always went down well. At the time, I had a great place to take photos in my student house and I also had a boyfriend to take photos for me so getting shots wasn’t really a problem. When I bought my DSLR, I also picked up a tripod which was really handy for taking outfit photos but I ended up breaking it last year and haven’t managed to fix or replace it yet. I’ve been thinking about hiring a photographer for a couple of hours to get some outfit shots in a nice location, but it’s really hard to find someone when you have no recommendations – this is where Bidvine comes in handy!
Bidvine allows you to find the service you are looking for from over 600 different services across the UK and it all starts with you placing a ‘wanted’ ad stating what you are looking for, how much you are willing to pay for it and the distance you are willing to travel from your postcode.
I started off my searching for Portrait Photography and used a random Birmingham postcode (it’s not actually a real one!) to refine the search. I was then asked a series of questions to determine what I actually wanted from a portrait photographer – this is to ensure that you can get quotes that fit your needs rather than having quotes from anyone who calls themselves a photographer.
As you can see, my answers to the above questions narrows down the type of photographer that I am looking for. Once you’ve filled in the questionnaire, you just need to submit your ad and wait for the bids to start rolling in. There’s an option for you to leave your mobile number so that businesses can contact you directly to discuss their services, or you can simply communicate via the Bidvine website when quotes come through.
There’s so many different services you can search for, not just photography so it’s worth having a look!
