Fashion: The 3 pairs of shoes you need this summer

I always find it hard to give up my boots when it starts to get a little warmer. I don’t have a lot of shoes that are suitable for the summer, so when I was contacted by Ego Official and asked if I wanted to try out some of their shoes, I saw this as a chance to update my summer shoe collection and I think I have found the three pairs that will see me through the summer.

First of all, I wanted a pair of shoes that would be good for my upcoming trip to Barcelona – something summery and fashionable but also something that I could walk around in for a long time. I really like the look of espadrilles but have never tried a pair before, so I chose the Nel Studded Espadrille which are honestly the comfiest pair of shoes I own. I’ve worn these a few times now and they’re like walking on air yet they still look super stylish.

I’m sure everyone has seen the Gucci loafers and they are definitely an acquired taste but I personally love them, so I just had to pick the dupes up from Ego which are the Leona Faux Fur Lined Flat Mules. I’ve definitely got some funny looks while I’ve been wearing these but they’re really comfortable, great to just slip on with a pair of skinny jeans and I think they can make an otherwise boring outfit a bit more special.

Finally, I wanted to pick a pair of trainers and I’ve seen a lot of floral trainers around recently, so picking the Saffron Floral Embroidered Trainers was a no brainer. I love wearing these with my black skinny jeans and my fishnet socks to add more of a sportier edge to an outfit. These will also be great for walking around Barcelona in and I don’t have to worry about compromising on style as the floral trend is very much in at the moment.

I have to admit that the loafers are not my sort of thing at all. For summer I’m all about converses, chunky platforms and a pair of flip flips to throw on around the house

I am a converse and flip flops girl in the summer, I have so many pairs of flip flops for days and sparkly ones for evenings x

I’m from the south of France so needless to say, I’ve been wearing espadrilles every summer for the past 26 years! Ha! Otherwise, I’m a huge fan of gladiators and just any other leather sandals.

Oooo these look like a lovely selection. I’m all about comfy shoes. If they look good that’s great, but comfort comes first.

I like those trainers best. They would go well with a pair of jeans or shorts

I always like something cool and comfy which is why I’ve just ordered a set of Tom’s as I think they’ll be great. And sandals are a must x

Love those espadrilles 🙂 Not sure I am sold on the faux fur ones but I appreciate how easy they would be to slip on.

I love the espadrilles as they look so pretty and summery have a fab time. Plus watch An Art Lovers Guide on the BBC as it covers Barcelona! I have been there 6 years ago and loved it

I’ll admit, I won’t give up my boots for summer very often but I will wear a light pair of pumps or trainers instead! I love the pairs you’ve picked out! It’s reminding me to start looking for some new sandals for my holidays!
