I’ve been paying a bit more attention to my skin recently as I’ve noticed that it’s been a bit of a state. It’s been looking very dull, dehydrated and I’ve ended up with quite a few blackheads which is something I haven’t experienced before. The overall texture of my skin hasn’t been great which has meant that even when I’m wearing makeup, it still doesn’t look good and I’ve been determined to sort it out. Luckily, I’ve found a few products that have really helped to get my skin back on track. I’m still not 100% happy with my skincare routine and have been doing a bit of research into different brands as I’m looking for a toner to add to it and am considering one from Dermalogica. I’m also looking for a new day cream to apply under my makeup.
We all know that Makeup Revolution/I Heart Makeup are pretty into their dupes. Over the past couple of years we’ve seen them dupe popular eyeshadow palettes from high end brands such as Urban Decay and Too Faced which have mostly received great reviews and they’ve recently come out with some dupes of the famous Kylie lip kits too. When I saw the new Bronze and Glow palette on the Superdrug website, I knew straight away that it was meant to be a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette which has been high on my wishlist for years but is way out of my price range at almost £50, so I just had to buy it and try it out.
Everybody loves a good beauty sample – it’s a great way of trying out new products without having to commit to the full size and risking wasting your money. I always like to keep a good selection of sample sizes for trips away so I’m not carting around a heavy bag of products and it’s always nice to try something different. I get a lot of my sample sizes from goody bags at blogger events or from subscription boxes such as LOVE ME BEAUTY where you can choose your own products for £13.95 a month.
I’ve recently discovered that Feel Unique offer a Pick ‘n’ Mix service where you can choose five samples (from a huge selection) for just the cost of delivery which is £3.95. Once you’ve received your products, you get a voucher worth £3.95 emailed over to you so you can save on your next purchase if you decide that you love one of the samples enough to splash out on the full size.
