My hair is something that I love to play around with. I can’t do much in the way of hairstyles, I’ve never been able to curl my hair myself, but I love dying it. I’ve been dying my hair since I was around 13 – I started off by getting blonde highlights because I was sick of being bullied for being ginger. Those highlights then turned into a full head of blonde. After a while, I realised that the blonde didn’t suit me at all. I went back to my natural ginger colour for a couple of years until I finished my GCSEs.

Since I turned 16, my hair has been so many different shades of red/ginger. I had mostly bright red hair until the age of 24, when I went a bit darker and eventually ended up with black hair. I soon decided that dark hair wasn’t for me and I stripped it and had it dyed back to a lovely ginger colour at Francesco Group in Lichfield. From then, it just kept getting brighter until I had an appointment at Bad Apple in Birmingham where they bleached the ends and added yellow. I loved my yellow hair but I accidentally dyed my hair red at the end of 2017, so I had to rock the new colour for a few months.

I recently stripped my hair and dyed it back to ginger. I’m slowly working my way back to the bright orange that I love. I’ve also cut my hair myself into a long bob. Luckily for me, my hair grows quite fast so I don’t worry about cutting it myself. However I have considered hair extensions before as I do miss having long hair sometimes. I think it would be great to get a couple of wigs as well so I could play around with different colours and styles.

I spend a lot of time on Pinterest and I have a board especially for hair where I pin my favourite colours and styles. I’m hoping to learn how to curl my hair myself at some point, so if you have any suggestions for a good curling wand, let me know!
