Beauty: Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss highlighter in Ice Kiss

Makeup Revolution have had a lot of exciting releases recently and they’ve been all over blogs and YouTube. I got a sneak peek when I went to their 3rd Birthday Party back in March and I was checking the Superdrug website daily so that I could get my hands on some of these new products. One that I was particularly excited about was the Ice Kiss highlighter

Priced at £5, this is a bit more expensive than any of the previous highlighters from Makeup Revolution, however it is a lot bigger as you get a whopping 14g of product, so this is going to last a lifetime! It comes in rose gold packaging which is a similar size and shape to the Jeffree Star highlighters and it has a huge mirror in the lid, so it’s perfect for on the go.

Ice Kiss is a bright, white gold which is perfect if you are fair skinned like I am (if you’re not, they also have a couple of other shades in the Skin Kiss range) and it has a frosted metallic finish. It’s highly pigmented, I only need to tap my Real Techniques fan brush into it once to pick up enough product to highlight my cheekbone.  A couple of layers gives a really beautiful glow but it is really easy to go overboard with this, so I have to be careful although I do really like a blinding highlight. I find that in can look a little powdery, so it’s essential to use a setting spray over the top to make it all blend in.

This is such a great product for the summer, especially as it’s so pale it just gives me a radiant glow. I’ve been trying  not to wear foundation as much recently, just a bit of concealer where I need it, bronzer, blusher and highlight. I’ve upped my skincare game recently and I’m looking to try a few bits from Dermalogica to help keep it clear so I can wear foundation even less.

Oh I’m quite light skinned and sometimes find highlighters aren’t right for my skin so maybe these would be good for me x
