As you are probably aware, Kat Von D cosmetics launched in the UK last September and I’ve slowly been building up a collection since then. At the moment, the only place that you can pick up any Kat Von D products in store is Debenhams on Oxford Street who have a dedicated stand and the couple of times I’ve been in to see it, it has always been really busy, so hopefully they will start to bring it to other major cities too. You can shop the whole collection online of course and there are usually a few Debenhams discount codes floating around, for example you can get free standard delivery with any beauty purchase – enter SHA5 at checkout.
The first product I picked up was the Tattoo Liner in Trooper and I bought this in Sephora when I was in Florida. I was so desperate to try it after hearing everybody singing its praises that I didn’t actually care about the price difference (it’s actually a bit cheaper in the UK) and got it a couple of hours after we landed in the US. I’ve used this almost every day since I got it back in October and it’s still going strong; I absolutely love the application it takes me seconds to create a winged eyeliner look and it lasts all day. I’ve managed to get myself a mini version from LOVE ME BEAUTY which I’ll use once my full size has dried up – I’m so glad that I have a back up as it’s one of my makeup bag staples.
The Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks were another product that I was desperate to try and I picked up the shade Ayesha (the purple one) when I was in Florida. I got a mini version of Outlaw (the red) in LOVE ME BEAUTY back in November and I loved the colour so much that I just had to get the full size as well, it’s the perfect blue toned bright red. My most recent addition to my growing collection is Bow n Arrow which is described as a “fawn nude” and is probably the most talked about of all of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. I picked this up while I was in London and I’ve worn it almost every day since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I love the formula of these lipsticks, they dry down to a matte finish in a matter of seconds and last for hours; even after a meal they don’t seem to come off as much as matte lipsticks from other brands do.
The Studded Kiss lipsticks are another popular product and I haven’t really tried them out despite having a few mini ones (Underage Red, Magic and Mercy) and one full size in the shade Piaf. There’s quite a selection of colours available though and there are a few that are on my wishlist for when I next go down to London.
Next on my wishlist is some of the eyeshadows – there are quite a few palettes available as well as some individual eyeshadows. I really like the look of the Metal Matte palette which I swatched whilst I was in London but unfortunately it’s not available online, so I’m going to have to wait until I go back to Oxford Street to purchase it.
Have you tried anything from Kat Von D? Which is your favourite product?
