Okay, perhaps the title is a bit clickbaity but I have been effectively getting free makeup from Debenhams, so I wanted to tell you how I’ve been ‘earning’ these Debenhams vouchers just through online shopping. It’s easy peasy and it’s something I’ve spoken about on the blog before, however that was when I was just getting cash payments. I’ve since realised that you can make a little bit extra by getting Debenhams vouchers..
Getting Debenhams vouchers through Quidco
I’ve been a member of Quidco for years, my dad told me to sign up around ten years ago and I’ve been using it religiously ever since. Quidco is a cash back site, which allows you to earn cash back from your normal online purchases which is really handy if you’re like me and do the majority of your shopping online. I’ve found that it’s worth going through Quidco even if you’re making a small purchase as it all adds up and before you know it, you have a hefty amount waiting to be withdrawn. All together, I’ve managed to earn myself an extra £410 and that’s mostly been over the past three or four years, which is amazing!
No matter what I buy online, I always go through Quidco first to see if I can make some money back from it. It only takes a few seconds and means that I can add a few more pennies to the pot.
As you can see from the above, there are various different cash back rates – I find that New Look offer one of the best at 5% (but they often go up to 10%) and Booking.com offer 4%, which, with the cost of hotel rooms can mean you get quite a lot of cash back. The cash back doesn’t always track and confirm straight away, sometimes you have to wait a couple of months but it’s worth it when you check your account one day and see that you have £20 waiting to be withdrawn.
As I mentioned before, I used to just withdraw this straight into my bank account or into my Paypal account which only take a 2-3 days to transfer, however Quidco have recently added a few more withdrawal options to the site.
As you can see, if you choose to withdraw as a Debenhams voucher, Quidco will top it up by an extra 15%! They also have these offers on Costa, Halfords, Pizza Express, Arcadia, Amazon and many more retailers with various bonus amounts. I’ve had a couple of withdrawals in the form of Debenhams vouchers now and they simply email them over to you and you can either print the voucher off to use instore, or you can use the code online.
By using these Debenhams vouchers I’ve managed to get my hands on a couple of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquids, one of the extremely pretty Urban Decay Vice Lip Toppers and I now have my eye on the Kat Von D Alchemist palette. When you use these vouchers, make sure you present your Beauty Card as well so you can gain points – I’ve now got £5 worth of points on my card after all of my recent purchases!
I highly recommend you sign up to Quidco, even if you don’t want to go for the Debenhams vouchers, there’s plenty of other retailers and you can also withdraw the cash.
