Beauty: A Galentine’s Day makeup look

It’s been a long time since I did a ‘Face Of The Day’ post (we’re talking years) but I picked up a new MUA palette over the weekend and thought that the colours were perfect for a Galentine’s Day makeup look, so I had a play around with it today. I adore the warm toned colours in the MUA Burning Embers palette and knew I had to get hold of it after I saw it in one of Emma‘s videos when she used it as a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette which is something that I really want but can’t justify buying right now.

I really can’t take photos of my own face, these two were the best of a bad bunch but luckily you can see my eye makeup pretty well. I’ve been getting a bit more adventurous with my eyeshadow recently and instead of sticking to neutrals, I’ve been experimenting with brighter colours and occasionally glitter. I’m really pleased with how this look turned out and I think it’s quite a wearable everyday look. I actually wore something similar when I went out on Saturday night, but I added a darker brown in the outer corners, smudged some of the pink underneath my lower lash line and added some false eyelashes.

Here’s what I used to create this look:

Do you rate that MUA palette? I’m after a palette with some colours just like these but not sure I can justify spending loads right now! I love the red tones. xx

Yes, I love it! I think all of the colours are completely wearable and the pigmentation is great. I haven’t tried out all of the colours yet, but you can’t go wrong for £8 really.
