My skin has been in a right state recently. I’m not sure if it’s the change in the weather, hormones or that I’ve been travelling a lot. Whatever it is, my skin hasn’t been happy and I need to sort it out. I’ve been suffering with dry skin on my nose and forehead, break outs on my chin and uneven skin tone everywhere else. I thought I had my skin routine perfected but in the past couple of weeks this has happened. I decided to get myself a few new skincare products including a L’Oreal Paris scrub.
L’Oreal Paris Smooth Sugars Glow Scrub
I’m a big fan of the L’Oreal Paris masks; I keep one at home and one at uni to use once a week or so. I always find that you can get a lot of uses out of one pot, so they’re great value for money. Since the scrubs from the same range came out, I’ve been dying to try them. I found that they’re a bit cheaper on Notino so I got myself the Glow Scrub which contains three fine sugars and grapeseed oil.
I realised that my skincare routine was missing an exfoliator so I was hoping that this one would help me out. So far, I’ve only used this twice but I’m really impressed with it. The scrub isn’t as harsh as I was expecting but it’s left my skin feeling a lot smoother and in better condition. The grapeseed oil also helps to moisturise the skin so it’s not left completely parched afterwards. I’ll be using this two or three times a week from now on to keep those spots at bay. I’ll also be keeping an eye out for any Black Friday makeup sales this year so I can stock up on the masks and scrubs.
I love a good face mask and do one a couple of times a week. As I mentioned earlier, the L’Oreal Paris ones are some of my favourites. However, I do like to try out new ones from time to time. I’ve decided to try the Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask next time. This one is said to be the same as having a chemical peel! I’ve got high hopes for this one as Vichy is such a good skincare brand.
I like to do a moisturising sheet mask at least once a week. One of my favourite sheet masks to use is the Garnier Moisture+ ones. There’s a few different varieties out now but the one I tend to pick up the most is the Moisture + Comfort mask. I use one of these after I’ve used a cleansing mask and I find that they really help to keep my skin hydrated. They’re quite expensive in the shops (up to £2.99 in some places!) but they’re only £1.90 on Notino at the moment. I’ll definitely be stocking up so I don’t have to spend loads whenever I want one.
