I was given a £20 one4all gift card yesterday from the uni for taking part in a student shadowing scheme – basically a lady sat next to me in a lecture. There are a lot of places that accept the card so today I’m off to Southampton with my boyfriend to see if anything takes my fancy! We haven’t spent the day together, just us two outside of my house for ages because of the Easter holidays! We’re also going to go to IKEA and have a drink in their restaurant and I’ll buy some of their smelly candles.
I’ve been having a look online at some of the shops I can use my gift card at and have come up with a few things I like and will be looking out for today:

I’ll probably end up not getting any of these things at all knowing me! There’s always loads I want when I’ve got no money but now I have this gift card burning a hole in my pocket I can’t really find anything! Typical.

Today I came home to parcel from the lovely Georgie. You may have seen her post about her wire headbands on her blog a few weeks ago. Well, I was one of the few lucky people that got to order and try them out first!

The headbands came beauitfully wrapped in blue tissue paper with a little note and tied with a ribbon.

These are the two headbands that I ordered, a Cath Kidston-esque print and a Bambi print. My first thought when I opened the parcel was how well made they were! They look better than the ones you can buy in shops such as New Look and Primark and they feel a lot less flimsy! I have a feeling that these will last me a very long time!

Here’s the Bambi one in action! No photos of the Cath Kidston-esque one as there was a slight mix-up (I wanted one without lace) but Georgie has been lovely about it and is going to pop another one in the post for me. I love the Bambi one though, it’s perfect for covering up my roots as I still haven’t decided what I want to do with my hair and looks great when I wear my hair up in a bun like in the photos or if I wear it down. I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of these!

I know, it was nearly a week ago now and everyone’s moved on but I’ve been waiting for my friend to upload the (600!) photos she took at her party.

We started the day off at Wetherspoons at 8am, dressed in our suits and dresses, where we had breakfast (I had scrambled egg on toast with bacon) and then we had to wait until they could serve alcohol at 9 so we could have our first drinks of the day.. We’re not alcoholics I swear! We then went back to a friend’s house and watched the wedding in her conservatory and carried on drinking and smoking cigars until around 6pm when most of us realised we were knackered and it was time to head home!
