About Strangeness & Charm

Hayley Warren

My name is Hayley Warren, I’m 29 years old and currently live near Birmingham. I’m studying for a Masters degree in Human Osteology and Funerary Studies.  I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, a massive bookworm and a very crazy cat lady. I love to travel and often get a train or coach to various parts of the country to see my friends. One of my favourite things to do is visit new countries and cities on my own which you can read all about in my travel section.

Strangeness & Charm

Strangeness & Charm was created when I was in my second year of an Archaeology degree and wanted somewhere I could go to talk about fashion and beauty. Since I wrote my first blog post, my blog has evolved and now primarily features travel, food and lifestyle. In the eight years that my blog has been around, I have achieved so many things that I didn’t even know were possible, I’ve had some fantastic opportunities and have visited some wonderful places but most importantly, I’ve made some amazing friends.

I didn’t start my blog as a way to earn money. However, after a few years I started working with various brands and began making a bit of money from it. After being made redundant from a boring office job, I decided to give blogging full time a go. I wanted to see if I could do it and see how it worked for me. Luckily, I have been very successful and have been able to continue blogging alongside studying for my Masters. I’m currently working on my blog and partaking in other freelance writing projects on a full time basis while I write my dissertation.

      Hi Lisa,

I do it myself with the L’Oreal Feria box dye in Paprika Power. I top it up with Bleach London’s Tangerine Dream every so often too!
