How I sold my used car with Gumtree
For most people, a car is a vital part of everyday life. Whether you use it to drive to work or shool, or to visit friends and family, having a car is one of the easiest ways to get out and about.
However, sooner or later you might want to treat yourself to a newer model. Upgrading your car can be pretty pricey though, especially if you’ve got your heart set on something brand new.
That’s why I decided to sell my current car first. Selling your old car is a great way of getting some funds together to put towards a new car, and there are plenty of places to sell your car online.
Selling a used car online can be confusing and daunting, especially for a first time seller, but used car websites are so easy to use. Also, they often feature helpful advice on how to get the best out of your listing.
There are loads of places where I can sell my car online in the UK, and, after checking out a few of these sites, I chose to sell my used car on Gumtree.
Not only do they cater for a wide range of different vehicles, but they offer user-friendly services to ensure the process is as painless as possible. This makes them perfect for both first-time and experienced sellers.
I chose to sell my car online on Gumtree for a few different reasons, such as:
- The easy step by step guide, which clearly explains what to do at each stage of the selling process
- The accurate valuation system
- Listing any car is free if you are a private seller
- I can reach the largest amount of potential buyers, because Gumtree is one of the largest private motors markets in the UK
Not only do Gumtree make it easy for me to sell my car for free, they offer peace of mind to buyers too. Each car listed on the site goes through an HPI Check, which checks the history of your car to make sure it has not been reported as stolen, scrapped, exported or written off.
It’s also really convenient if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands or you’d like to make a quick sale, as people can contact you directly as soon as your listing goes up on the Gumtree site. You may even get responses in a matter of hours.
Selling my car on Gumtree was stress-free from start to finish, which is why I’m happy to recommend them to anyone looking to put their used car up for sale.
