If you’re still looking for somewhere to go on your summer holiday this year, I might be able to help. There’s so many popular destinations that people seem to go on that we forget about the other places. I’ve found a few options that you might want to consider.
The city break
Not many people will consider a trip to Poland for a city break, but there are so many reasons why you should visit this beautiful country. If you are looking for somewhere with a lot of history, then Krakow is the place for you. The Old Town has so much beautiful architecture and there’s also a castle for you to explore. You can also take a day trip out to Auschwitz to visit the concentration camp. This can be quite a harrowing experience, but it’s definitely something you need to do. Everything is so cheap in Poland too, you can expect to pay less than £3 for your lunch, so it’s perfect if you don’t want to break the bank.
I know a lot of people won’t consider cruises when they’re looking at holidays. If you’ve never been on a cruise ship then you won’t have experienced just how amazing it is. Even if you have a day at sea, there’s so many things to keep you entertained on board. There’s also swimming pools, gyms and restaurants. The main attraction is obviously the destinations. If you fancy visiting Madeira, then you could do that and see the Canary Islands too with a cruise in the Canary Islands. If you’ve always wanted to visit Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria then this would be perfect for you! The time you spend on board one of these cruise ships is just magical. They are just like a floating hotel and you can’t tell you’re out at sea most of the time. A cruise is a great way to visit multiple destinations in one holiday.
The beach holiday
If you’re looking for somewhere you can spend all day relaxing on the beach, then you want to be guaranteed sunshine. You could try a trip to Barcelona which has the most amazing beaches, but there’s also a great night life too. You don’t need to spend all day by the sea if you don’t want to, there are plenty of other options for you. You could take a day trip over to the zoo or go and explore Gaudi’s famous Parc Guell if you are into architecture.
Somewhere with a completely different culture
Have you ever fancied experiencing a completely different culture, but don’t want to do a long haul flight? Then Morocco is the perfect place for you. It’s only four hours flight from the UK but has an amazing climate and is renowned for it’s colourful culture. If you think that Morocco is the place for you, then you need to get yourself over there and exploring the spice markets now! It’s definitely high on my places to visit and I’m hoping to go myself next year.
