Notino winter skin wishlist

Since I moved back to Winchester I’ve noticed that my skin has been getting very dry, especially after a shower. This is due to the difference in the water, here in Winchester it’s very hard whereas the water at home in Staffordshire is soft and I don’t have a problem with it. As well as not being able to drink the water down here without filtering it first, it’s really taken a toll on my skin and with the weather getting colder and colder, I’ve really been suffering so I need to find myself some good products to make sure I keep everything moisturised.

My face is affected the most by the hard water and it gets really dried out, even after I’ve taken my makeup off with coconut oil which is really moisturising, I find that it still feels really tight and uncomfortable. I’ve recently become quite spotty and I’ve worked out that it’s due to my skin being dry and making sure I moisturise well has helped to keep those spots at bay, so I’m looking to get a couple of really good moisturisers to make sure I keep this routine up.

The Clinique Moisture Surge and the Embryolisse Hydra-Masque are two products that I have heard a lot about. I’d use the Clinique gel cream daily, usually in the morning and just before bed. As it’s a gel, it will sink in quickly which means it’s great to apply underneath makeup. Then the Embryolisse Hydra-Masque would be great applied at night a couple of times a week, just to ensure my face is getting a much needed pamper.

For my body, I’ve been looking at the Embryolisse Lait Creme Fluide which I would apply all over but especially on my legs as they get so dry during the winter and the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream which I have heard is great all over but especially for hands. In the colder months, my hands tend to get so dry that they crack, so a good hand cream is always essential.

Finally, I need to make sure I keep my lips moisturised as they’re always exposed to the elements and they can crack and become really sore if I’m not careful. I’ve been a big fan of the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm in the little glass pot for quite a few years, however it’s not very convenient to carry around in my handbag so I’ve been looking at the stick version which will be so much easier to use on the go and would hopefully be just as good as the pot version. I have also got my eye on another product from Embryolisse, the Lait Creme Concentrate and Gloss which again, is another great product for use on the go and will also leave my lips with a glossy finish.

What products do you use to keep your skin feeling great during the winter?
