You might remember that I visited Spain twice last year. I went to Portaventura in April for the opening of Ferrari Land and then I also went to Barcelona in June. Both times the weather was amazing and I had such a great time, it’s got me wanting to visit Spain again this year. Although I would like to explore more of the country, sometimes it’s great to go back to places that you have already visited before and check out the hidden gems.

Barcelona

One of my favourite places to visit in Barcelona was Montjuic. This was super exciting as we got to travel up the huge hill in cable cars and we were greeted with the most amazing view over Barcelona once we got up there. Luckily, the weather was glorious so we got to enjoy it properly but I think it would be a great journey whether the sun is shining or not.

I also really loved going to the Arc de Triumf – I didn’t realise that Paris wasn’t the only city with a famous arch! Barcelona’s offering is right outside the Ciutadella Park and that is also one of the most beautiful places that I have visited. Another reason to visit is the Barcelona Zoo which is situated right next to the park. I made friends with a lovely orangutan in there!

Majorca

Another place I’ve been to in Spain is Majorca. I’ve been twice but I was really young each time, I first went when I was ten for a two week holiday with my family and then we went back a year later. From what I remember, it was a really beautiful island and there’s so much that I would like to see again. I really loved the beaches, the caves and the mountains. Another thing I remember loving is the food. The atmosphere of where we stayed in Puerto Pollensa was lovely as well, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I would love to go back and explore properly now I’m older and have a better understanding of the Spanish culture. I’m going to have to find some Majorca deals for 2018.

Where have you been and loved recently?
